Just a few updates
Kurt Weisman and i’s Duo just played at Washington Baths in Portland Maine as well as Deja Brew in Wendell Mass, for these gigs we played eachothers songs and even some old songs from his album Orange which just got reissued on Poole Music. the shows were a lot of fun and even stressful at times! but i guess thats shows? whats been fun is just playing out again i think.....(trying trying trying trying). which im grateful for even if it terrifies me.

in other news, im working on an album that should be done by the spring, things have been slow but i dont feel time has been wasted, things are working out beautifully in a slow tinkle . in the past six years i built a yurt studio, studied the music theory of harry partch, constructed three chromelodeons, built microtonal guitars and instruments of all stripes, practived recorder, wrote songs, got married, did my best to study gamelan, invented a musical board game, played in my improvised music groups donkey no no and the intangible shirt company. Im going to do my best to archieve everything on my own terms for the whole “online” thing. i deleted instagram and facebook yesterday and i feel like i just need to do this. i dont feel organized enough for substack. i miss blogs i guess.
i should also mention that i can be found singing on the new chris weisman album cosmic watershed with my dear friends ellie, ruth, and nick . i dont want to give to much away about the process of making this, as i think its only right to keep kayfabe, but calling it wholly transformative would be an understatement. we left feeling GIDDY, and im still in shock of what we made. i feel such deep joy that this is what were doing with our lives, and that we get to share that journey together. it is a cosmic releif to know you have a small community of friends who want to go down this path together. i cant help but feel such deep love and comrodery with all the people i get to make music with, and this record is a glistening example of that truth.

i also should mention that i had the pleasure of performing as part of Wendy Woodsons ensemble at the Center for Contemporary Dance and Thought in Northampton Mass, it was fun.
i think if you had told my 15 year old self this is what id be doing at 34 id have been so relieved and so happy, its stuff like what’s been happening the past few years is making the long road ahead seem like a great time. meow!
